Incidence and Outcome of Childhood Acute Leukemia in A Tertiary Care Hospital of Bangladesh Armed Forces

Background: Worldwide cancer is the second leading cause of death in children under 15 years and acute leukemia most prevalent among children.
 Objective: The objective study was to analyze incidence overall outcome childhood patients aged 0-12 Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka.
 Methods: It a retrospective cross-sectional study. Children below 12 age with confirmed diagnosis received treatment from paediatric oncology unit department paediatrics CMH, Dhaka were taken for this Data has been collected based registry records 2011 2021. There present status regular OPD or by phone calls.
 Results: commonest found Acute Leukemia (52%), them Lymphoblastic (ALL) 83.15% Myeloid (AML) 16.85%. Morphological (FAB classification) sub-divisions revealed ALL-L2 (31%) group ALL. In case AML, AML-M3 (APML) (27%). Immunophenotyping cells Pre-B ALL commonest. Cytogenetic analysis ETV6-RUNX1 (21%), t(1;19) ((q23,p13) E2A/PBX1 (11%) two common genetic abnormalities t(15;17) (q22;q12) M3,M3v PML-RARA cytogenetic (8;21) (q22;q22) RUNX1/RUNX1T1 AML. survival 54% AML 40%. About 10% reported relapses.
 Conclusion: Incidence highest all cancer. At end study, 52% cases, relapses seen cases.
